As Managing Director of the events division of IMG Artists, I was asked to produce a New Year’s Eve event in Dubai that would break the record for the world’s largest firework display.

This involved many months of planning, negotiation and preparation, which eventually culminated in the firing of over 475,000 individual fireworks from 500 locations across Dubai’s Palm Island and World Islands.

The project also involved commissioning and recording an orchestral soundtrack, and producing the live television coverage with a set-up that included 5 helicopters.
